2020 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Cancelled
With all of the changes coming to the parks due to the global health crisis, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been cancelled for 2020. Since the first party night was originally set for only a little over a month after Magic Kingdom’s reopening date, so Disney has already made the decision to cancel the event this year.
We also learned last month that large crowd-gathering activities and entertainment will not return right away in an effort to prevent over-crowding. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary offers special entertainment that draws large crowds each night, making it difficult to maintain physical distancing. Because of this, Disney cannot present all of the experiences unique to the parties this year, lowering the value and appeal of the parties for many guests.
With Mickey’s Not-So-Scary cancelled this year, Disney has stated that they will be refunding any previously purchased tickets for this annual Halloween party.
At this time, Disney Parks Blog indicates that they have yet to announce whether Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will take place this year. We will be watching closely for any future announcements and will update our website as soon as we hear any new information.
