Hollywood Brown Derby Review – Get the full Hollywood Experience!
If you are looking for a trip back in time to old Hollywood, then Disney’s Hollywood Studios‘ Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant will certainly check that off your Disney to-do list! Not only is it a near identical replica from what we’ve seen of the old original Hollywood Brown Derby, it’s got modern amenities and a “hidden” elevator to the somewhat elusive and all exclusive Disney Club 33. While you can’t take that elevator (unless you are member – and we aren’t due to the cost!), you can visit the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant to take a great air-conditioned dining break in the middle of your park day and come out feeling as if you had been transported “up to the age of old Hollywood”!
The food is so tasty and the ambience is fun with all the celebrity “pics” on the walls. You don’t need a reservation necessarily if the main dining room or the outdoor lounge area isn’t full, but we recommend planning ahead and getting a reservation to be sure to secure this fabulous experience. And if you are a big Lucille Ball fan like us then this experience will mean even more to you… although we didn’t order the spaghetti!
Overall, we loved the food – especially that signature Derby salad – and we loved feeling like we were in old Hollywood. It was a true change of pace from the Park hustle and bustle, and re-energized us to get back out to the rides and shows of the amazing Hollywood Studios!
