Partial Reopening of Disney California Adventure Park
Our Partial Reopening of Disney California Adventure Park covers Disney’s announcement about select stores and restaurants reopening in November at one of their two Disneyland Resort parks.
It’s been over seven months since Disneyland Resort in California closed, but we’ve got a little bit of good news to share today – Buena Vista Street will be opening in November for guests to enjoy select dining and shopping experiences!
Even though Disney’s two California theme parks cannot fully reopen yet, Disney Parks Blog reports that Downtown Disney will be extending to include Buena Vista Street, which is actually located in Disney California Adventure Park. Here’s a list of the shopping and dining experiences that are set to reopen sometime next month:
Shops
- Elias & Co.
- Julius Katz & Sons
- Kingswell Camera Shop
Dining
- Trolley Treats
- Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe
- Carthay Circle Lounge
- Smokejumpers Grill

Even though there’s only a few shopping and dining locations on this list, it’s good to see at least a small part of Disney California Adventure welcoming guests back into the park after all this time. Keep in mind that this partial reopening is considered to be an “extension” of Downtown Disney shopping and dining offerings, so Disney California Adventure is still technically closed according to Disney Parks Blog (see their article for more details).
We are looking forward to the day when both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland can completely reopen, but until then it’s nice to see that guests will be able to step onto Buena Vista Street once again to enjoy some delicious dishes and a bit of shopping fun this holiday season!
