Our Top 3 Restaurant Experiences at Walt Disney World in 2020
Our Top 3 Restaurant Experiences at Walt Disney World in 2020 – Get all the details and mouth-watering pics here!

California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The California Grill located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort is one of our favorite restaurant experiences in all of Disney World. From the top-notch service to the amazing unique food offerings to the incredible view of Cinderella’s Castle and much of Orlando, you are sure to love the time spent there! It takes persistence to get a dinner reservation, but it’s well worth the effort. Not only can you get a reservation at the lounge or full restaurant, you can return that same evening with your receipt to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks shows on the outside terrace. (Fireworks shows are temporarily unavailable, but the restaurant is still one of the very best in all the resort.) We not only love the food – just try not getting hungry as you look at our meal pictures from our last trip in 2020! – but we also love the special presentation of the food, taking pictures of the views, and the Disney Magic experience of chatting with the servers. If you are looking for a restaurant experience during your trip to Disney World that is fully relaxing while getting that evening dose of Disney Magic, then the California Grill is the best place to get it all in one dinner experience.
You can see the Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort. Dale was THE BEST for our night out at California Grill!
Dale gave us our Disney Magic with his incredibly friendly service and this yummy birthday cake!

Coral Reef Restaurant at Disney’s EPCOT
Coral Reef restaurant in Disney’s EPCOT is one that many people never choose to experience because it can be pricey and takes more time out of a park day visit, but believe us when we say you should at least try it once. EPCOT is a very large park and often stays open later than the other parks, so an hour or so out of a full EPCOT park day – especially in the Florida heat or rain – can actually be a much appreciated and wonderfully magic experience. The seating is situated so that no matter where you sit you are able to see the giant aquarium full of amazing fish, sharks, and the occasional diver! As our pictures below from our most recent 2020 trip to Epcot show, the view is quite spectacular. And the food and service rivals that view quite perfectly! We had no problem choosing to share an entree so we could get extra yummy choices, and the dessert… well, just be sure to have some! The servers here are ready to serve up that Disney Magic and they sure appreciate when you share your excitement back. PS – We highly suggest having a dish with the cheesy corn grits at Coral Reef… if you are a corn fan for sure don’t miss them!
We had an amazing time at Coral Reef for so many reasons, and just look at that amazing food!

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant in Disney Springs near Disney’s EPCOT is absolutely in our top 3 favs because it is just like home cooking except only better! From a true unique southern style breakfast – as you’ll see in our most recent 2020 visit to Disney Springs pics below – to the yummy lunch and dinner offerings, Homecomin’ will have you keeping it on your list for every trip as you “come back home” to Walt Disney World. The most delicious bacon is a staple on many of the breakfast plates as well as those incredible biscuits! Plus the way they make eggs will make your mouth thank you. Oh and did we mention… BACON! We think it is so so so good that you should definitely consider getting to Disney Springs early to go there for breakfast, and we for sure recommend giving yourself at least a half a day to stroll through the shops in the rest of Disney Springs afterward. We feel like one of the locals eating at Homecomin’, and as large as the Walt Disney World Resort is that is saying something big… and MAGICAL!
Homecomin’ – amazing food, friendly service, and bacon on donuts…
oh hey, did we mention BACON!!
We could say all kinds of wonderful things about these three restaurants from the food to the decor to the service and mean every single solitary word, but the best thing we can say is…
Go try them all! We think you will love them too!
